POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
NETWORK GLASSES
Department of Physics, University of Bath, Bath BA2 7AY, UK
(3 Years Fixed Term)
An exciting opportunity exists to study the atomic structure and dynamics of
network forming glasses using state-of-the-art neutron and synchrotron
radiation techniques. The work will focus on the influence of different
bonding schemes and of light on the properties of these important
materials and will take advantage of the latest advances in theoretical
techniques. The research, funded by the UK Engineering and Physical
Sciences Research Council, will be undertaken under the aegis of Dr Phil
Salmon at the University of Bath and Dr Spencer Howells at the ISIS pulsed
neutron source. Further details about the post are available from Bath
via e-mail, P.S.Salmon@bath.ac.uk, or telephone, +44 (0)1225 323698.
